Celebrating 10 Bright Years of LED Eco Lights Posted on 15 Apr 00:00

Bright Goods is an LED brand founded by LED Eco Lights in 2015.

LED Eco Lights is kick-starting April 2016 with a mix of new product launches, exhibition appearances, charity sponsorships, promotional give-aways and birthday celebrations to mark the company's 10 Year Anniversary.

Regarded as the early pioneers of retrofit LED lamps and luminaires, LED Eco Lights, was established in 2006, a time when LED was a new buzzword in lighting terms. Success arrived early for the company, when it was named as the LED Lighting Partner to the British Gas 'Green Streets' imitative. This ground-breaking project invested £2 million into helping Britain's communities to become greener. In the same year, the Co-operative Food Group embarked on its comprehensive stores 'energy refit' programme, selecting the company's Goodlight LED Tubes into all cold-store and refrigeration areas nationally.

As its Goodlight LED brand gained widespread acclaim for its product quality, reliability and technical expertise, LED Eco Lights was the first UK manufacturer to provide a comprehensive 5 Year Guarantee on all its LED lighting products - a competitive advantage which its rivals were forced to follow. These initial achievements were quickly followed by a number of high profile contracts including the iconic Thames Barrier, a national retrofit energy reduction programme for WH Smith which was the largest UK LED programme of its kind. Further significant contracts included a national roll out into Pets Corner stores plus LED installations into ESPO, London Brigade, Trade Team Distribution and many other sites.

During 2011, LED Eco Lights secured a contract to supply Goodlight LED High Bays for the British Airways World Cargo Centre at Heathrow. Over 1,400 LED High Bays were installed, making it the largest industrial LED project of its time. This ambitious energy-saving project was short-listed as Finalist for two awards: 'The Energy & Carbon Saving Award' and 'Lighting Project of the Year Award' by The Electrical Industry Awards. By the end of 2013, LED Eco Lights gained national acclamation for its unique 3-in-1 functional Goodlight 2D LED Lamp which won 'Most Innovative Lighting Product 2013' at The Electrical Industry Awards. See all of Goodlight's Awards and Nominations here.

More success followed in 2014, which saw LED Eco Lights open an office in the Middle East after huge demand for their Goodlight LED brand was received. In that same year, the company celebrated its 4,000th LED installation.

The significant milestone was quickly followed by the launch of its two industrial focused hero products - the GX1 LED High Bay and the G360 LED SON Replacement Lamps - which were acclaimed across the lighting industry as serious game changers by Lux Magazine, voting both products as 'Top Lighting Innovations of 2015'. The GX1 LED High Bay utilises a unique phase-change enabled copper core which allows unrivalled brightness with low operating temperatures, and the G360 LED SON range, with integrated MagLev thermal cooling, makes them the brightest LED lamps of their kind, with the added benefit of being suitable for sealed fixtures, unlike any others.

In 2015, LED Eco Lights launched its Bright Goods LED filament lamp range in spectacular style, to the delight of interior and lighting designers, specifiers and light-focused artisans. Conceived to provide a timeless vintage feel, the wide selection of popular shapes including globes, pears, squirrel cages, candles, long tubes and traditional GLS bulbs, invoke nuances of Victorian nostalgia whilst offering 21st Century energy-saving benefits. The whole range is fully dimmable and supported by a 2 Year Guarantee.

Within one successful year, Bright Goods LED filament lamps can be seen up and down the British high street from Next fashion windows (Christmas 2015 Shop Window Displays) to Nando's, Burger and Lobster, Fresh Cosmetics, Fuller's Pubs, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Jamie's Italian, Pizza Express, Selfridges and many more!

LED Eco Lights gained ISO 9001:2008 quality accreditation with BM Trada in August 2015, and launched its fifth LED Hero Product, the G5 Linear LED Luminaire (LED Batten), as the modern solution to replace outdated fluorescent fixtures.

Another significantly proud moment came later that year when LED Eco Lights was chosen to collaborate as the only lighting supplier for the popular DIY SOS TV programme by donating energy-saving LED lamps and luminaires. The two 60 minute episodes entitled The Big Build, Veterans Special highlighted the renovation of seven dilapidated homes to create three much needed homes for war veterans and their families. The work also involved the creation of a Walking With The Wounded advice centre, offering training, counselling and therapy to veterans who have been mentally and physically injured whilst serving their country.
